DNA Pattern Find
How to find a motif in DNA
- Paste a DNA sequence, as plain text or FASTA.
- Type the pattern, such as GAATTC or TATAWAW. IUPAC codes match any of their bases.
- Every match is listed with its start, end and strand.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use a regular expression?
Yes. A pattern with characters such as [ ] ( ) * + or ? is used as a regular expression, for example GC[AT]{2,4}GC.
Is my sequence uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser, so your sequences never leave your device.
