Frequently asked questions

What is the Pomodoro technique?

A way of working in short, focused sessions, traditionally 25 minutes, each followed by a 5-minute break, with a longer break after four sessions. It was named after a tomato-shaped kitchen timer.

Does it keep time in the background?

Yes. It counts from the clock, so switching tabs or apps does not slow it down, and the chime plays as long as the tab is open.
