How to trim a video
- Click the box above or drop your video onto it. It appears in a player.
- Play to where the clip should start and click "Set to current time" under Start, then do the same for End. You can also type the times.
- Click Trim and download the clip.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Fast and Exact?
Fast copies the video without re-encoding, so it is quick and keeps the original quality, but the cut can land up to a couple of seconds early, on the nearest keyframe. Exact re-encodes the clip so it starts on the very frame you chose.
Is my video uploaded?
No. The conversion runs in your browser with FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly. The first use downloads the converter (about 30 MB); your file never leaves your device.
