How to merge videos

Frequently asked questions
Can I join clips with different sizes or formats?
Yes. Each clip is first brought to the same size, frame rate and audio format, padded with black bars if its shape differs, and only then joined. That is why merging takes longer than trimming.
What if a clip has no sound?
Silence is added to it, so the audio stays lined up with the picture instead of jumping forward where a silent clip should be.
How long can the videos be?
Everything is held in memory in your browser, so a few minutes of 1080p is comfortable and very long clips may run out of room. Trim first if you only need part of a clip.
What format do I get?
An MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio, which plays on phones, TVs, editors and every major site.
Are my videos uploaded?
No. The conversion runs in your browser with FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly. The first use downloads the converter (about 30 MB); your file never leaves your device.
