Are my AVIF files uploaded?

Why convert AVIF to JPG?
AVIF is a newer format with very small files. Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari can open it, but many other apps cannot. JPG is the most widely supported photo format and keeps file sizes small, but it has no transparency.
What happens to transparent areas?
JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent areas become white.
