What is a HEIC file?

HEIC is the photo format iPhones and iPads use by default since iOS 11. It makes smaller files than JPG, but many Windows programs and websites cannot open it.

Are my photos uploaded?

Can I stop my iPhone saving HEIC?

Yes. In Settings → Camera → Formats, choose "Most Compatible" and new photos are saved as JPG.
