Frequently asked questions

What is the formula?

Needed = (wanted − current × (1 − weight)) ÷ weight. With 84% now, wanting 90%, and a final worth 30%: (90 − 84 × 0.7) ÷ 0.3 = 104%.

What if it says more than 100%?

The grade is out of reach even with a perfect final. Ask about extra credit, or aim at the highest grade still possible, which the calculator shows.

Where do I find my current grade?

In your course gradebook. It should be the percentage of the work done so far, not counting the final.

Are my numbers sent anywhere?

No. Everything is worked out in your browser and nothing is stored or uploaded.
