How does PNG compression work here?
The image is reduced to a palette of up to 256 colors, the same technique as pngquant and TinyPNG. Screenshots, logos and graphics often shrink by 60–80% with no visible change.
Why did my photo not shrink much?
Photos have too many colors for a palette to look good. For photos without transparency, JPG or WebP gives far smaller files.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Everything happens inside your browser, so your images never leave your device.
