Will the photo still look good?

The tool keeps the highest quality that fits under 1 MB. If that is not enough, it also reduces the width and height, and shows the new size next to the result.

Does 1 MB mean 1,000,000 or 1,024,000 bytes?

Sites count it differently, so the file is kept under 1,000,000 bytes, which is under the limit either way.

I need a different limit.

Use Compress Image and type any size in Target size (KB).
