Frequently asked questions
How is it calculated?
Each drop is the wall height rounded up to a whole pattern repeat, so the pattern matches between strips. The number of drops that fit in a roll is worked out, then the strips needed around the room are divided by that.
Why does the pattern repeat matter so much?
With a large repeat, part of every drop is cut off to line the pattern up. A 64 cm repeat on a 2.5 m wall can waste nearly a fifth of each roll.
Should I subtract doors and windows?
Only large ones. Small windows still need paper above and below them, so leaving them in the count gives a safer answer.
Are my numbers sent anywhere?
No. Everything is worked out in your browser and nothing is stored or uploaded.
