Frequently asked questions

How do I convert AWG to mm²?

Find the size in the table: 12 AWG is about 3.31 mm², 14 AWG about 2.08 mm² and 10 AWG about 5.26 mm².

Does the chart give current ratings?

No. How much current a wire can carry depends on its insulation, how it is installed and local rules.
