- Thumbnail: 1280 × 720 pixels (16:9), JPG or PNG, under 2 MB. At least 640 pixels wide.
- Channel banner: 2560 × 1440, with the important part in the middle 1546 × 423, which is all that shows on phones.
- Square post: 1080 × 1080 (1:1).
- Portrait post: 1080 × 1350 (4:5), which takes up the most room in the feed.
- Story or Reel cover: 1080 × 1920 (9:16). Keep text away from the top and bottom 250 pixels, where the app puts its own buttons.
Resizing without stretching
If the image has a different shape, crop it to the right ratio first, then resize. Resizing a 4:3 photo straight to 16:9 squashes it. Make the image at least as big as the target; small images scaled up look soft.
