Where do the exchange rates come from?
From the free currency-api by Fawaz Ahmed, which gathers rates from public sources once a day and publishes them through jsDelivr. The date of the rates is shown under the result.
Will my bank give me this rate?
Usually not quite. Banks, card issuers and exchange offices add a margin or a fee, so the rate you get when you pay or change money is a little worse. For trading, use a live quote from your bank or broker.
Is my amount sent anywhere?
No. Your browser downloads one list of rates and works out every conversion itself; the amounts and currencies you choose stay on your device.
