1. Click or tap the box. It turns red.
2. Wait. After a random delay it turns green; click or tap as fast as you can.
3. Do it five times. The result shows your last, average and best times in milliseconds.

What is a normal reaction time?

For a click when a screen changes colour, most people score between 200 and 300 milliseconds. Under 200 is quick.

Why do I get a slower time on some devices?

Screens and mice add their own delay: a 60 Hz display can add up to 16 ms, and wireless mice and touch screens a few more. Compare scores on the same device.

What if I click too early?

Clicking before the box turns green does not count. Click again to retry that go.
