Why is no text found?

Scanned documents are pictures of pages, not text. They need OCR (text recognition), which this tool does not do.

Is the layout kept?

Line breaks are kept, but columns, tables and fonts are not; the result is plain text.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. Everything happens inside your browser, so your files never leave your device and nothing is stored on a server.
