How to add random mutations to a sequence

1. Choose DNA or protein under Sequence type, then paste the sequence, as plain text or FASTA.
2. Set the number of mutations.
3. Click Mutate. Each mutation changes a different position to a different letter, and the changes are listed below the sequence.

How are the changes written?

As the old base, the position and the new base, such as A120G.

Is my sequence uploaded?

No. Everything runs in your browser, so your sequences never leave your device.
