How to make meta tags

1. Type the page title and a description. The counts show how close they are to the roughly 60 and 160 characters a search result has room for.
2. Add the page's address and, for a picture on social cards, the address of an image, ideally 1200 × 630 pixels. Site name and X username are optional.
3. Check the two previews, then press Copy tags and paste the lines into the page's <head>.

What are Open Graph tags?

The og: tags that Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Slack, Discord and others read to draw a card with a title, description and picture when someone shares a link. X reads its own twitter: tags and falls back on the og: ones.

Does the description change my ranking?

Not directly, but search engines often show it under the title, and a clear one gets more clicks. Google sometimes writes its own from the page text instead.

What does robots noindex do?

It asks search engines not to list the page. nofollow asks them not to follow its links. Leave index, follow for a normal page.
